Sonic Mania release slips to summer
UPDATE: First proper look at Sonic Forces gameplay.
UPDATE: Sega's released a gameplay video of Sonic Forces, the 3D Sonic game due out later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The video, below, shows off "Modern Sonic" in a destroyed city environment.
There's also a CGI trailer for Sonic Forces.
ORIGINAL STORY: Sonic's highly anticipated return to retro form, Sonic Mania, has had its release date slip from spring to summer.
To tide fans over, Sega has released the following footage of the new Flying Battery Zone level. It looks breezy.
Elsewhere in Sonic news, Sega revealed that the briefly teased Project Sonic 2017 will be a 3D outing called Sonic Forces. YouTuber TheRealSonicFan caught some blurry off-screen footage of it at a SXSW panel, though Sega teased a proper public gameplay reveal Friday, 17th March. When that happens we'll swap footage for the cleaner cut.
