Sony offers Last Guardian status update
Development "not as fast as we hoped."
It seems Sony is just as frustrated at the lack of Last Guardian news as gamers are.
SCE Studios president Shuhei Yoshida told VG247 today that development on the game has not progressed as quickly as it had initially anticipated.
"The Last Guardian team has been making progress," he explained.
"It's been very difficult in terms of seeing the progress: not as fast as we'd been hoping for, and the team has been under big pressure. But we're still making progress, so I'd like to continue to support and keep waiting for great news sometime in the future."
When asked whether we'll get some more news on either The Last Guardian or Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital's next title at Tokyo Game Show next month, Yoshida replied "I'd say it could be a little bit longer".
Relatively little has been seen of Team ICO's follow up to Shadow of the Colossus since it was first unveiled at E3 back in 2009.
It was initially scheduled for release in late 2011, but back in April director Fumito Ueda announced it had been delayed into 2012.
