Square Enix promises more Final Fantasy 15 Ultimate Collector's Edition stock
UPDATE: Live now priced £190, following last minute delay.
UPDATE 23/5/16: The second and final shipment of Final Fantasy 15 Ultimate Collector's Edition stock is now live via Square Enix's online store.
There was confusion this morning when the game failed to go on sale at its promised time - 10am.
Square Enix explained via Twitter it was having "technical issues" and would let fans know in advance when pre-orders finally did go live. It didn't - the option has simply just appeared, something the publisher has since also apologised for.
The Final Fantasy 15 Ultimate Collector's Edition costs an eye-watering £189.99 and stock is limited, although PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions both still seem to be available at the time of writing.
The fresh stock is being made available due to high demand, although comes with the caveat that it may not arrive in time for the game's launch on 30th September.
ORIGINAL STORY 19/5/16: Square Enix will produce extra stock of the coveted Final Fantasy 15 Ultimate Collector's Edition in a bid to meet demand.
The special edition originally sold out within minutes when it went on sale last month - despite costing £189.99.
Now, Squenix will manufacture another 10,000 units to help meet demand, on top of the original 30,000 quota.
But there's a catch - there is no guarantee this new batch will be available for the game's launch on 30th September.
On the upside, orders will be limited to one per customer to put off scalpers - a huge problem with the edition's initial release.
The fresh stock will go on sale to UK fans on 23rd May at 10am UK time via Square Enix's EU store.
The Final Fantasy 15 Ultimate Collector's Edition includes a couple of steelbook cases, the Kingsglaive CG film on Blu-ray, the Brotherhood anime on Blu-ray, the game's soundtrack on Blu-ray, an art book and a Noctis Play Arts Kai figure. There's also in-game outfits, weapons and items alongside the game itself.
Copies of the edition were being sold on eBay for upwards of £400 after its initial stock was put up for sale.
