Streets of Rage 2 up on US VC
Plus Blazing Lazers and DKC2.
Three more retro classics have arrived on the Wii's Virtual Console in the US: Streets of Rage 2, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and Blazing Lazers.
Sega's Streets of Rage sequel joins the original game in the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive line-up. 800 Nintendo points buys you another round of two-player, side-scrolling scrapping, accompanied by Yuzo Koshiro's classic club soundtrack.
Diddy's Kong Quest, which was released on the European Virtual Console last week, is another sequel that sits alongside its predecessor in the Wii Shop channel. Read the review in our recent VC roundup before deciding whether Rare's polished SNES platformer is worth the 800 points being asked.
Those after something new (by which we mean old) might want to check out the more obscure Blazing Lazers in the TurboGrafx section. This 1989 vertical space shooter by Hudson Soft was considered state of the art at the time, and can be yours for 600 points.
