Super effective research task reward explained in Pokémon Go
The reward for the sole Research Task in the latest event.
The Super Effective research task is a time limited quest available in Pokémon Go to coincide with, you guessed it, the Super Effective event, which has seen a boost to competitive rewards - from double Stardust in Trainer Battles to increased spawns of creatures that might be useful against in the fight against Team Rocket.
These tasks are available at PokéStops, replacing some of the current roster of monthly Research Tasks currently available.
The Super Effective research task reward explained in Pokémon Go
The sole Super Effective task is live in Pokémon Go from November 19th to November 26th, 9am BST / 1am PST, although tasks can be completed and rewards can be claimed at any point after that if you've picked up the task before the event ends and keep hold of it.
Super Effective Global research tasks list:
- Use a super effective charged attack in a gym battle reward - Tentacool
What else do you need to know about Super Effective research task rewards?
That's right - this event only has a single research task, so you only have to remember just the one reward over the coming week.
That reward is Tentacool, with is the newly added Shiny for this event, so for those who want to track it down, farming this research is a great way to do so.
Increased Tentacool spawns also appear in the wild, too, so however you prefer to play, hopefully you'll be in with a better chance of finding one!
The Max Out Season is here. The new global event, Wild Area, is nearly here and In the Wild is our lead-up event, which includes the global release of Toxel. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
