Takahashi forms new freelance company
Music, games and playgrounds, obviously.
Katamari creator Keita Takahashi has started up a new company with his wife.
Called uvula, it's a vehicle for his new freelance career making music, designing playgrounds and dabbling in games.
His wife, Asuka Sakai, is a composer.
According to the official website (thanks Kotaku), "We mainly work with music and video games. However we have started designing a playground recently. We want to widen our horizons. So we are glad if we make something new with you."
The site includes cover artwork from the games Takahashi worked on during more than a decade at Namco Bandai - Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari, Noby Noby Boy and its iPhone spin-off - along with covers from Sakai's albums and some snaps of things around his home, including a self-righting rubbish bin.
Namco Bandai confirmed Takahashi had left the company last month.
Takahashi had always been downbeat and disinterested about his time at Namco and games in general in interviews, although he was always enormous fun to talk to about them. When we spoke to him at the start of last year he even drew us a few pictures.
