The Binding of Isaac rejected by Apple due to violence towards children
"C'mon, wtf... Apple."
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been rejected by Apple due to its depiction of violence towards children.
"C'mon, wtf... Apple", wrote publisher Nicalis' founder Tyrone Rodriguez on Twitter.
Rodriguez attached an image of Apple's rejection stating "Your app contains content or features that depict violence towards, or abuse of, children, which is not allowed on the App [Store]."
Weirdly, Nicalis never announced an iOS version of the darkly comic action-roguelike, though three years ago the game's creator, Edmund McMillen, said in a blog post "we are also looking into an iOS version if its not garbage."
We've requested comment from both Rodriguez and McMillen about how they intend to combat this rejection. Will they argue with Apple, censor the game, or boycott the platform? We'll let you know more as we find out.
