Outside Xbox's five most disappointing games of 2013
Plus No Man's Sky and the Oxbox Xmas Challenge.
Season's Greetings Eurogamers. It's the home stretch now, 2013's almost over and we're feeling nostalgic for the last 12 months. Broadly it's been a great year for gaming and there are plenty of fantastic games to talk about, but this week we've decided to concentrate instead on the fantastically awful ones.
Our Show of the Week looks at the five most disappointing games of 2013. Games that dangled a shred of promise in front of us, before snatching it away and replacing it with a polygonal middle finger.
In more positive news, at last week's VGX awards tiny indie outfit Hello Games announced the audaciously ambitious No Man's Sky. Tired of waiting for David Braben to get around to making another Elite, the four-person developer is taking matters into its own hands. Here's everything we know so far.
Finally, what better to promote the festive spirit of togetherness than a bitterly fought competition across a variety of games? Yesterday we kicked off our Oxbox Xmas Challenge, a series of 12 daily events designed to identify who is the greatest of all. Jane's first up, with an attempt to parachute onto a purple dinosaur in GTA Online. Wish her luck.
Do remember to subscribe to our YouTube channel if you want to catch every one of our challenges. We will be crowning a winner on Christmas Eve. Otherwise, we'll meet you here next week for a look back at the games from this year that we actually liked. See you Outside!
