LucasArts will release a demo of upcoming Star Wars action game The Force Unleashed II before it's released on 26th October.

The demo features Starkiller attempting to escape a facility on the planet Kamino. Expect plenty of lightsaber action, smashed up robots and Force powers, Joystiq says.

Reports of internal strife have dogged The Force Unleashed II in recent weeks.

First we heard, courtesy of Kotaku, reports that LucasArts had allegedly cancelled unannounced sequel The Force Unleashed III.

Members of The Force Unleashed II team will be let go following the release of the game, the report says.

"Morale and productivity are at all-time lows" since new LucasArts president Paul Meegan took over two months ago, apparently.

Earlier, the PSP version of TFUII was cancelled without explanation and, in July, TFUII creative director Haden Blackman left LucasArts mid-project after 13 years with the studio.

Despite the troubles, TFUII is still on for its 26th October release. Keza MacDonald went hands-on for Eurogamer last week.
