The Pitt returns to Xbox Live
Bethesda thanks fans for patience.
Bethesda has repaired and replaced The Pitt downloadable content for Fallout 3 on Xbox Live.
It's free for anybody who downloaded the original, corrupted English-language file, although that will need removing first.
To do so, sign into Xbox Live and go to the Memory section of System Settings. Scroll down to Fallout 3 and select The Pitt content, then press A and confirm deletion. Careful; don't accidentally destroy saved games.
"Thanks to everybody for their patience," says Bethesda on its blog. "We hope you enjoy The Pitt."
The Pitt content was added to Xbox Live Marketplace on Tuesday, but was soon discovered to be housing outrageous graphical glitches: giant, floating exclamation marks were a constant among complaints.
The DLC costs 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60), and, behaving properly, offers a post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh to explore. An abandoned steel yard and slaver settlement are the among the chief attractions.
Look out for our thoughts soon.
