When we weren't blowing up giant robots we were occupied by Evolve, the new game from Left 4 Dead creator Turtle Rock Studios. In Evolve, a four-player team of human hunters takes on a fifth player, who controls a giant monster. Evolve is shaping up to do with giant alien monsters what Left 4 Dead did with zombies: create intense, co-operative, anecdote-generating action, so hit play below for hands-on impressions and a first hit of Evolve gameplay.
Finally, Show of the Week turns its eye to South Park: The Stick of Truth, which comes out next month after three years of development, several months of delays and a brisk change of publisher. With South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone at the helm, it's just as lavishly offensive as the cartoon, with the same biting satire and shoddy animation. Show of the Week gets revved up for The Stick of Truth and asks: where did all other South Park games go wrong?
