The Vanishing of Ethan Carter sells 60K copies in a month
Western Europe accounted for half of its sales.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has shifted 60K copies in one month, developer The Astronauts has announced.
Not bad for a few hour game with no combat made by a small Polish team - even it is a team led by Bulletstorm director Adrian Chmielarz.
Other fun facts: Western Europe accounted for half of its sales, though it sold best in the Unites States. The game also contains 159,390,000 blades of grass.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter typically goes for £14.99, but it's currently discounted for £13.49 until 3rd November as part of Steam's Halloween Sale.
A PS4 version is set for release sometime in 2015.
The game was well received at Eurogamer HQ. "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter leaves you with several amazing memories; moments that you will want to talk to your friends about for hours and will take great pains not to spoil for other people," wrote Tom Bramwell in his glowing The Vanishing of Ethan Carter review.
To commemorate its success, The Astronauts have released a new trailer for the game, though it seems like it might be a bit spoilery.
