This week on Outside Xbox
All hail our new robotic overlord!
This week on Outside Xbox, we saw the face of a new generation: the device Microsoft hopes will define our entertainment habits for the next 10 years. It looked like a VCR from the future for watching American sports. That's not to say the Xbox One won't have games, only that the TV-centric reveal event was short on buzz if you were hoping to catch some new videogames.
We examine the Xbox unveiling in this week's Show of the Week, as well as breaking down everything we know about Call of Duty: Ghosts, the one game we did get a proper look at during the conference.
Whether your reaction to the reveal was excitement or white-hot, seething fury or not, there was a lot to take in. That's why Mike dug into the technical details glossed over in the course of the presentation or revealed after the glitzy stage show had ended. It turns out the Xbox One can do some interesting things you might not have noticed.
Finally, if that's too much Xbox One talk for you, take a look at Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, out this week on Xbox Live Arcade. After the modern-day misstep that was Call of Juarez: The Cartel, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger takes the series back to its Wild West roots with a neat gimmick that changes the game in line with its own unreliable narration. So, is it Deadwood or dead wood? Watch the review to find out.
