TNA Impact! (or "TNA iMPACT!" if you like that sort of thing) will offer downloadable content after its launch September.

Speaking to Eurogamer at a press event in London today, Canadian TNA wrestler Petey Williams said that this would also include downloadable wrestlers.

TNA Impact, developed by Midway's LA studio, is positioned as a fast-paced alternative to games like WWE SmackDown from THQ.

Indeed, when we spoke to pro wrestler Kurt Angle earlier this year, he claimed it was going to be "the biggest hit of any videogame ever", which is probably wrong but it's a nice alternative to "we don't see them as a competitor" blah blah grow a spine.

Look out for more from Petey Williams, and his wrestling chums Samoa Joe and AJ Styles, in an upcoming preview.

The full game's due out on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PS2 this September.
