Too Human dev making new X-Men game
"Where's my Eternal Darkness sequel?!"
Too Human and Eternal Darkness creator Silicon Knights is the developer behind X-Men: Destiny.
The game is shrouded in mystery, although more information is expected over the next few days,
All we know is it'll ship on "multiple consoles" next autumn. Mike Carey, the writer of comics The Unwritten, Hellblazer, and X-Men: Legacy, will pen Destiny's storyline.
Silicon Knights' last game was 2008 Xbox 360 exclusive Too Human, which had been in development for a decade. Eurogamer awarded the action game 6/10 in 2008.
In 2002 Silicon Knights released superb GameCube title Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, which Tom awarded 9/10.
Several months ago Silicon Knights received a grant for nearly $4 million from the Canadian government to help make a "top tier" title.
"In our industry, you have to be very careful never to announce anything until the right time. We can only say it's a next generation title and a high production value game," SK boss Dennis Dyack said at the time. Is X-Men: Destiny the game he was on about?
