Ubi hints at more Ass Creed for 2010
Plus: pre-orders up 80 per cent for sequel.
Ubisoft exec Alain Martinez has said we may expect to see more of the Assassin's Creed series in 2010.
He was speaking during a conference call with investors, as reported by Gamespot. When asked about franchise plans for 2010 Martinez replied, "There might be something around Assassin's Creed, and you mentioned that there will be a movie of Prince of Persia."
An AC film then, perhaps? Or downloadable content, a spin-off or a fully fledged sequel? The last option seems unlikely considering they've only just finished Assassin's Creed II, which is out on 20th November.
And according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, it already looks set to be a hit. He said pre-orders are up 80 per cent compared to the first Assassin's Creed. The sequel is expected to do better overall, with between 15 and 25 per cent more copies likely to be shifted. More on GamesIndustry.biz.
Look out for our review of Assassin's Creed II around the time of the US launch on 17th November. Meanwhile, you'll find all manner of stuff about it over on the gamepage.
