Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig leaves Naughty Dog
Sony: "The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted."
Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog, Sony has confirmed.
The veteran video game developer had been with Naughty Dog for over 10 years, working on the Uncharted franchise.
Before joining Naughty Dog in November 2003 Hennig spent eight years at Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics, primarily working on the Legacy of Kain series.
Hennig's departure from Naughty Dog was first reported by IGN, which said sources claimed Hennig was "forced out" by The Last of Us creative directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, and that the next Uncharted game for PlayStation 4 may now come under their control.
"We can confirm that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog," Sony said in a statement. "Amy has made significant contributions to the game industry and we appreciate all she has done for Naughty Dog. The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted."
Naughty Dog unveiled Uncharted for PS4 at the console's US launch event last year with a brief teaser trailer. More is expected at E3 this June.
