Uncharted movie has "romance and sex"
Wahlberg teases Johansson and Mendes.
Hollywood director David O. Russell has promised to show as much skin as he can in the upcoming Uncharted movie.
His comments came as Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg, who will play Uncharted protagonist Nathan Drake, teased that Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes may appear in the film.
"I decided to make Uncharted a really dope crime family in the world of antiquities and art, and I think we can do something very exciting," he told the MTV Movies Blog at the Oscars.
Russell said veteran Hollywood stars Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci will "hopefully" be involved.
But he was keen to promote the casting of women.
"There's going to be romance and sex, I promise," he said. "Otherwise I'm not interested.
"I don't know if they'll let me make an R-Rated videogame movie. It'll have to be PG-13. I'll show as much skin and as much language as I can at that age, and I hope they push the limit. I heard they're going to push it a little bit."
Wahlberg, also collared by MTV, then added: "I think he was talking about Eva Mendes and maybe Scarlett Johansson. But, you know, whoever he wants."
Russell, the man behind the Oscar-nominated The Fighter, has come in for some flak from Uncharted fans over the direction he's taking the movie in while writing the script.
Russell plans to depict a Sopranos-like family with a sense of justice in the movie based on Naughty Dog's superlative PlayStation series.
"If we take that family dynamic that we have in The Fighter, and put that in terms of a grander stage, with a crime family that metes out justice in the world of art and antiquities," he said, "if you're the head of a museum, or head of state, you've got to deal with them, and they're badass.
"They're like the Sopranos in some ways, but they have great taste, and they have a sense of justice."
