Uwe Boll gets lifetime Razzie award
Dungeon Siege also up for five trophies.
Uwe Boll is to be recognised for his contribution to movies by the organisers of the Golden Raspberry Awards - otherwise known as the Razzies.
He's being given the Worst Career Achievement award for work on films such as BloodRayne, House of the Dead, Postal and Alone in the Dark. The last time such a trophy was handed out was 1987, when it went to the rubber shark in Jaws.
Boll's latest film, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, has also been nominated for five Razzies this year - worst picture, supporting actor and actress, director and screenplay.
The film took USD 5 million at the box office, but according to the Razzies website it cost USD 60 million to make. However, as Boll himself would probably point out, there's always those DVD sales to look forward to.
