Video: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided promises taser hand, gold nanoshield
Plus more videos from Outside Xbox.
A slick CG trailer this week declared gravelly cyborg Adam Jensen would return soon for Deus Ex: Human Revolution sequel Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
In it, the year is 2029, augmented humans are being hounded by the terrified unaugmented public, and Jensen has had a bunch of killer upgrades bolted on to make himself even more terrifying. Get a closer look here at six new powers spotted in the trailer.
Speaking of terrifying killer moves, Show of the Week examines Mortal Kombat X and the "quitality" you suffer for quitting it mid-match, in which your head explodes like a bony grenade. Thusly Mortal Kombat continues a proud videogame tradition of shaming quitters for their lack of moral fibre.
Witness the quitality in the video below, along with other ways games punished flaky players with creative penalties, such as the Bad Sport dunce's cap in GTA Online and banishment to Second Life's creepy corn field.
Finally in this week's Outside Xbox sampler, we inspect the state of indie games on Xbox One.
The console has had a lot of catching up to do, but indie games program ID@Xbox seems to be moving the needle, with a diverse bunch of indies coming soon. Here are seven to surprise you this year, including the noirish Blues and Bullets and old-timey platformer Cuphead.
