Video: The childish Easter Eggs we laughed at anyway
Plus more from Outside Xbox.
Happy Easter, Eurogamers! There's a lot of talk about chocolate around this time of year and it's easy to forget the true meaning of Easter: four consecutive days off to eat all that chocolate.
Because we're suckers for a theme at Outside Xbox, we'll be spending those four days hunting down the other flavour of Easter Egg. No, not white chocolate. We're talking about the kind that developers hide inside their games as a special treat for curious players. Here are some extremely childish ones we laughed at anyway:
Show of the Week manages to tear itself away from the cocoa-based confections for just long enough to take a look at Assassin's Creed: Chronicles and the four crucial series plot points that Ubisoft squirrelled away in an obscure animated movie, Assassin's Creed: Embers.
Finally, the other big festival this week was the Festival of Lies. Or as it's known in some parts, April Fools' Day. Bucking the trend of promising something excellent, failing to deliver it, then pointing and laughing, Dying Light actually made good on its promise of super powerful kicks and punches. The results were hilarious.
That's all for this week from Outside Xbox. We'll see you on the other side of that chocolate assault course next week, but until then you can catch up with what we're up to on our YouTube channel.
