The .410 Ironhide is a new shotgun that debuted during Season 6, arriving to both Black Ops: Cold War and Warzone.

It had been a while since a shotgun of this style, and thankfully, it's a standout all around. Introducing itself as lever-action shotgun, it feels akin to its rifle counterpart, packing the punch of a shotgun instead.

This page will cover how to unlock the .410 Ironhide in the swiftest way possible, and the best .410 Ironhide loadout and .410 Ironhide class recommendations to make the most of it.

How to unlock the .410 Ironhide in Warzone

As it tends to be the norm with new weapons in the battle pass, the .410 Ironhide can be unlocked either by leveling up the battle pass or by purchasing a blueprint.

In order to unlock the .410 Ironhide, you need to get to Tier 15 in the battle pass.

It's a rather straightforward task, but admittedly, it can be time-consuming. If you're playing Black Ops Cold War, we recommend you to complete 24/7 modes as well as Team Deathmatch playlists. They won't take long in terms of match length, and you can always get good XP from them, which makes for a good balance.

If you're opting for just Warzone, choosing Plunder over battle royale is a must, as it will allow you to revive throughout the match and get most out of each session. But either battle royale or Rebirth modes will work just fine, too. Up to you!

Best Warzone .410 Ironhide loadout and attachments

Below are our recommendations for an optimal .410 Ironhide loadout, as well as the corresponding levels for each:

  • Muzzle: Agency Choke (Unlocks at level 31)
  • Barrel: 24.2" Task Force (Unlocks at level 32)
  • Laser: SOF Target Designator (Unlocks at level 16)
  • Stock: No Stock (Unlocks at level 25)
  • Ammunition: 7 Rnd Tube (Unlocks early on)

Starting with the muzzle, we're opting for the Agency Choke. This adds vertical recoil control, bullet velocity and an increase of effective damage range, as well as sound suppression. Your aim down sight speed will be affected, as well as your aim walking steadiness and aiming stability, but not by a lot.

Let's move onto the barrel. We opted for the 24.2", which increases damage range as well as adding bullet velocity. In return, it trades hip fire accuracy and movement speed.

As for the laser, we went for the SOF Target Designator, which increases effective damage range and hip fire accuracy, the latter compensating the cons of the barrel and the stock. A flashlight will be visible by enemies as a trade-off, but it's not a big deal by any means.

Choosing the No Stock attachment will increase your sprint to fire time exponentially, while hurting the hip fire accuracy slightly.

Lastly, opting for the 7 Rnd Tube attachment is the best choice for the weapon's ammunition. It decreases reload quickness, but it's worth having the rounds bump.

Best Warzone .410 Ironhide class setup, perks and equipment

Here's our choices for the best items - such as equipment and Perks - to make the best .410 Ironhide class setup in Warzone:

  • Perk 1: Quick Fix (Unlocks at level 42)
  • Perk 2: Overkill (Unlocks at level 38)
  • Perk 3: Amped (Unlocks at level 1)
  • Primary: C58 (Unlocks by getting a Long Shot kill in 15 different completed matches, using assault rifles)
  • Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor (Unlocks at level 1)
  • Lethal: Claymore (Unlocks at level 1)

The .410 Ironhide doesn't have the highest fire rate, but it compensates this by packing quite a punch. It won't take you long to take down enemies, so for this, we recommend starting health regeneration immediately after with Quick Fix. As per usual, if level 42 sounds a bit steep, we recommend opting for E.O.D., as it will help to mitigate damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire until you can unlock this perk.

We recommend opting for Overkill as the second perk. On this occasion we went for the C58 as our primary choice. You're going to need the fire rate of an assault rifle, and this option delivers.

For the third perk, we went for Amped over the others to ensure that you're switching between the two weapons as swiftly as possible.

Lastly, the Heartbeat Sensor is a perfect companion to prepare yourself ahead of time or track anyone who dared to escape from your line of sight. In case anyone manages to sneak past your vicinity, however, having a Claymore placed near you should provide for a helping hand.
