Warzone best Sykov loadout: Our Sykov akimbo class setup recommendation and how to unlock the Sykov explained
How to get the most out of the Sykov in Warzone.
The Sykov in Warzone is an absolutely devastating pistol, capable of unloading rounds into anyone with terrifying precision and stopping power, and it's already taking over the meta surrounding the battle royale game.
You might automatically think that the Sykov pistol has landed in Warzone from Black Ops Cold War, but this actually isn't the case - as it instead originates from 2019's Modern Warfare.
Introduced towards the end of Season 2, there's no doubt that the Sykov pistol is one of the most powerful handguns in Warzone right now - especially if you opt to wield the weapon in an akimbo fashion, using two of the pistols at once.
This page explains not only how to unlock the Sykov in Warzone, but also how to create a Sykov akimbo loadout to make the most out of the weapon as the season draws to a close.
Update (April 19th, 2021): That was fast! Raven Software has already nerfed the Sykov pistol three days after it launched, with akimbo movement speed and ADS movement speed reductions, as well as a damage reduction when combining the 140mm Auto and 80 Round Drums. It's likely the setup as follows will be less dominant than it has been, but it may still be viable - so we'll keep the page as-is in case you are interested.

How to unlock the Sykov in Warzone and Modern Warfare
Getting your hands on the Sykov pistol in Warzone is actually a little trickier than it sounds. Unfortunately, unlike weapons like the LC10, this new addition to the battle royale game isn't unlocked through battle pass progression, but is instead unlocked through in-game challenges.
To unlock the akimbo Sykov in Warzone, you need four kills with pistols in five different matches. Since the Sykov didn't originate from Black Ops Cold War, it isn't available to unlock through the 2020 game, so your only options are to either complete the challenge in Warzone or Modern Warfare.
If you have access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, we'd highly recommend trying to accomplish the challenge here, since multiplayer matches bunch more players into a tighter space than in Verdansk.
If you don't have Modern Warfare however, you'll need to resort to game modes like Mini Royale, or Plunder, to get repeated chances at slaying as many enemies as possible with pistols.
Alternatively, you can buy a Sykov bundle from the Call of Duty store, such as the Monviso, if you prefer not to unlock it through the above in-game challenge.
How the akimbo Sykov is popular, and how to unlock akimbo Sykov explained
Right now, the new hotness in Warzone is to wield the Sykov pistol in an akimbo fashion, which basically means you can carry two of the pistols at once. This lets you fire each weapon at once, and since the Sykov is a fully automatic pistol, you can perhaps see why this is such a popular choice.

To unlock the akimbo Sykov in Warzone, you must:
- First unlock the Sykov itself (four kills with pistols in five different matches)
- Unlock the Mo' Money perk for the Sykov (unlocked at weapon level 32)
- Get three skills in five different matches using the Mo' Money perk
In short, that's quite the lengthy challenge, if you haven't already levelled up the Sykov enough to unlock the Mo' Money Perk.
Once you have unlocked the perk though, we'd highly recommend hopping into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, instead of Warzone, to accomplish the challenge, for the exact same reasons as previously stated for unlocking the Sykov pistol.
Best Warzone Sykov akimbo loadout and attachments recommendation
Here is our list of the best attachments for the ultimate Sykov akimbo loadout in Warzone - which is where the weapon really comes alive.
- Muzzle: Monolith Suppressor
- Barrel: Sorokin 140mm Auto
- Laser: 5mW Laser
- Ammo: 80 Round Drums
- Perk: Akimbo
This, right now, is considered the pinnacle setup for the Sykov pistol in Warzone, and there's good reason for it. Firstly, the Monolith Suppressor is a widely-used favorite of the Call of Duty community, and here it increases the range of the akimbo Sykov pistols, meaning you don't have to be right up in a player's face to gun them down with relative ease.
Next, there's the critical Sorokin 140mm Auto attachment for the barrel of the Sykov. This actually turns the weapon fully automatic, and with it you can absolutely tear through the armor and health of any opponent in close proximity. Simply put, this one attachment is why the Sykov is considered so overpowered right now.
Thirdly, there's the 5mW Laser attachment, which gives the Sykov a nice boost to the hip fire accuracy of the weapon. Since all you're going to be doing is firing the weapon from a hip stance while you're wielding two of it, you need this attachment.
You'll also want the 80 Round Drums, another attachment that the Call of Duty community has decreed to be a reason why the Sykov is so overpowered right now.

Best Warzone Sykov akimbo class setup, perks and equipment
Here's our picks for the best Sykov perks and equipment items to take with you using the akimbo pistol set up:
- Perk 1: E.O.D. (Unlocks at level 1)
- Perk 2: Ghost (Unlocks at level 24)
- Perk 3: Tracker (Unlocks at level 51)
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor (Unlocks at level 30)
- Lethal: C4 (Unlocks at level 25)
For your first Perk slot with the Sykov pistol, you'll want the E.O.D. Perk activated. This Perk reduces your damage from explosives, and since you're primarily going to be in pretty close quarters to enemy players while using the akimbo Sykovs, you'll want to be protected from any grenades and C4.
Secondly, Ghost is an essential Perk for this loadout. Hiding you from enemy recon devices like UAV scans and Heartbeat Sensor pings is excellent considering you're going to be going toe-to-toe with other players in close proximity. Tracker is another great Perk for this loadout, since it lets you follow the footsteps of enemy players to pinpoint their location, so you can easily gun them down with two Sykov pistols.
As for your Tactical equipment, take the Heartbeat Sensor. This is a pretty standard pick for any custom class in Call of Duty: Warzone, but it's going to really help you nail down the positions of close enemy players while you're running around trying to find them with two pistols drawn.
Finally, we're opting for C4 with this Sykov loadout. Honestly, any selection between a Molotov Cocktail, C4, Semtex, and Thermite is good here, as they all dish out pretty decent damage over an area, helpful if you run into several enemy players at once while storming around with two akimbo pistols.
