Watch Tim Schafer talk about his career here at 1pm today
Total legend.
Hello! It's the first day of EGX Rezzed 2018 at Tobacco Dock in London, and we think we've fixed the heating in the staff room. (Rezzed is run by Eurogamer's parent company, Gamer Network.) To kick the show off today, I'll be interviewing Tim Schafer, the head of Double Fine Productions and creator of Grim Fandango and Psychonauts - and newly anointed BAFTA Fellow - live on stage about his career in games.
If you're not at the show today, you can watch the session streamed live in the embed below or at twitch.tv/egx. It should be a fun chat.
The same channel will be streaming developer sessions all day and all weekend. Coming up later today we've got sessions on Two Point Hospital, Onrush and American Truck Simulator. Over the weekend we'll have Into the Breach, Total War, Cultist Simulator and much more, and to wrap things up on Sunday afternoon I will be joined by Digital Foundry's Rich Leadbetter and John Linneman to discuss the "road to PlayStation 5" (!).
Check out the Rezzed site for the full lineup of developer sessions. It's also worth checking out the Rezzed sessions stage - on Sunday I'll be joined Wes, Tom and our erstwhile intern Vic Hood to talk about getting into game journalism.
There's loads to play on site as well, of course - personally, I'm looking forward to checking out Lumines Remastered on Switch and the latest build of Capybara's almost mythical Below. And there are meet and greets with Tim Schafer, Outside Xbox and the Eurogamer video team.
Come and join us! There are still tickets available for all days.
