Weekly Demo Roundup

Last call for XNA-developed tasters.

Sorry, we were a little distracted last week with GDC. But now everyone is back we can catch up on the demos you missed. Only, there weren't that many.

Most exciting to us were the handful of XNA-developed games Microsoft was shouting about at GDC. Today is your last chance to get hold of them and, as there's a time limit, you will have until 9th March to put them through their paces. We cobbled together our thoughts on them all in a roundup, summarising that The Dishwasher was probably our favourite.

Less thrilling were tasters for the rather excellent Patapon on PSP, which was released last Friday. However, we're still waiting to hear from Sony as to why we had to pay full price for it and those in the US did not. But it's well worth the money, thankfully. You can also get a load of snowy shooter Lost Planet on PS3, finally, as well as the chirpy Everybody's Golf World Tour.

If you fancy popping on to the US PC Store you can nab a God of War: Chains of Olympus demo. Just delete your cookie for the site and re-enter selecting the USA as your place of residence.

Elsewhere those of you championing the trusty PC will be able to test out fresh releases Imperium Romanum and Agon: Lost Sword of Toledo, as well as a Porsche-focused demo for Need For Speed: ProStreet.

That's it.
