Weird West is a gun-slinging fantasy action-RPG from former Dishonored, Prey devs
And it's heading to PC.
WolfEye Studios, a developer founded by some of the minds behind Prey and Dishonored, has unveiled Weird West, a new cowboy-themed action-RPG coming to PC.
Weird West - which will be published by Devolver Digital - unfolds in a dark fantasy version of the Wild West, and sets players on a journey "through the origin stories of a group of atypical heroes, written into legend by the decisions you make in an unforgiving land".
"Each journey is unique and tailored to the actions taken," explains WolfEye, "a series of high stakes stories where everything counts and the world reacts to the choices you make". You'll apparently have the option to form a posse to tackle its challenges or venture forth alone.
Weird West's action is viewed from a top-down perspective, and WolfEye says to expect a mix of action-RPG and 'immersive sim' - an exciting proposition given that its founders, Raphaël Colantonio and Julien Roby, have been responsible for some of gaming's very best immersive sims, serving as co-creators on Arkane Studios' critically acclaimed Prey and Dishonored.
Beyond the stylish reveal trailer above, not much else is known about Weird West just yet - but you can gaze at its Steam page while WolfEye readies to show more.
