Nintendo has told us you can send off for your Wii Remote Jacket in Europe now, by filling in a request form on the official site.

The silicone cover for the Wiimote is completely free, and provides extra grip and cushioning to stop you damaging the hardware or accidentally launching it at unsuspecting friends eating their dinner.

"All Wii Hardware, Wii Remote and Wii Play shipped from today will include the Wii remote jacket," the spokesperson told Eurogamer. "So this should hit retail shelves in the UK in about seven days time."

"People who already have a Wii can claim their Wii Remote Jacket(s) by going to the official website and filling out the request form. They will receive their Wii Remote Jackets within 28 days."

Shiny.
