World at War loses out in Live chart
Top in the UK, fourth on Xbox 360.
Call of Duty: World at War may blasted its way to the top of the UK charts this week, but the same cannot be said for Xbox Live, where its first-week performance leaves it trailing Gears of War 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Halo 3.
That's all the more interesting given that it was the Xbox 360 version of World at War that sold the most copies of any game last week in the UK (the PS3 version was third, the other side of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King).
As usual, Major Nelson's blog lists the top ten and explains that it accounts for global unique users connected to Xbox Live with the full game.
Meanwhile, Worms surges to the top of the Xbox Live Arcade chart following its recent price-cut, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 makes it up to five under the same circumstances. The other price-cutter, Feeding Frenzy, is down in the depths somewhere beyond Marble Blast Ultra at ten.
