Worldwide Nintendo 3DS update late May
Adds DSiWare, eShop, browser not Bowser.
A worldwide 3DS update will roll out in late May that adds the DSiWare service and the ability to transfer your existing DSiWare games to 3DS, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has announced.
The Nintendo 3DS web browser and eShop will also be added.
At the eShop you will be able to buy Virtual Console games - like old Game Boy, Game Boy Colour, GameGear and TurboGrafx games - as well as 3D Classics, which are fully remastered 3D versions of old games. Which old games, however, Fils-Aime didn't say.
The eShop, he added, offers an "unparalleled ability to promote your work". "I think that spells win win for everyone," he added.
Reggie Fils-Aime also confirmed Nintendo 3DS video recording - in 3D. "The promise is great," he said. "It could mean a birthday party, a family vacation or your night on the town, with you as your own producer, director, operating in 3D."
