WWE '13 will centre on the sports' Stone Cold Steve Austin-focused Attitude Era, THQ has announced, revealing the game for launch this autumn on PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360.
The game's first trailer lists a 30th October date for WWE '13 in the US, and reveals the title's cover star to be current WWE champion CM Punk.
The game's single-player campaign, named WWE Universe 3.0, has been expanded into a career-style mode with dynamically changing alliances, rivalries and "unpredictable moments".
A new audio and presentation system, WWE Live, will improve the game's commentary, sound effects and crowd participation. WWE '13 will also feature the largest ever roster of fighters, including big names such as Steve Austin, Sheamus, Undertaker, Mankind, Chris Jericho, Big Show and Mark Henry.
"WWE '13 is certain to ignite our enthusiastic, worldwide fan base and encourage them to live a revolution that simply cannot be ignored," THQ's brand exec Sean Ratcliffe excitably revealed.
"WWE Live will bring the impassioned WWE live event experience into the living rooms of consumers, while critical core gameplay improvements and a serious dose of attitude will enable them to experience WWE action like never before."
