Speaking live at Eurogamer Expo 2013 this afternoon, Harrison added that - just like the Xbox 360 - the platform will be improved and updated over time, throughout the next decade.

Speaking in an extended interview with Eurogamer this week, Harrison said that the evolution of digital game distribution was an "unstoppable force" for the industry, a sentiment he echoed during this morning's speech.

"We remain committed to a digital future," he explained, but adding that Microsoft was grateful for the feedback offered from fans since the console's initial unveiling.
