Xbox One's Ryse stars in Show of the Week
Also from Outside Xbox: Need For Speed in 1080p.
Hello Eurogamers! There's under a week to go now until the Xbox One launch, so we have prepared a soft-furnishing fortress of solitude in preparation for the day when we can wave goodbye to this cruel current-gen world.
Join us on 22nd November between 12PM and 6PM GMT for Outside Xbox's gameplay-crammed, livestreamed Xbox One launch day show direct from YouTube's London studios.
Show of the Week stars Xbox One launch game Ryse, arguably the graphical showcase of the bunch - alright, it doesn't run at Forza's 1080p and 60 frames per second, but because of that compromise it is dripping with fancy visual effects. Since Ryse is an alternate version of the events of the Roman Empire, we ponder other games that will cause you to fail your history exams.
The furore of Resolutiongate has reduced to a low hum but, if you're interested in that sort of thing, here is native 1080p footage from launch game Need For Speed: Rivals. Be sure to click on the YouTube cog of quality to ensure you're getting the full effect.
Finally, one of the best things about an interactive entertainment medium is making decisions as the hero. Normally it's just deciding which alien species to introduce to this Earth thing we call 'love', but every so often games present us with a real moral pickle. With that in mind, here are the six hardest decisions in games that you'll get wrong anyway.
If that's simply not enough Outside Xbox for one Saturday, we play Deadfall Adventures, Xbox 360's of budget Uncharted, and some footage of the sole Kinect-devoted Xbox One launch title Fighter Within. Do subscribe to our YouTube channel so you never miss a video and we'd love you to join us for that livestream show. Let's do launch!
