Yakuza: Like a Dragon is an Xbox Series X launch title
Crime pays.
Sega's next entry in the Yakuza series will be available alongside Xbox Series X when the console launches.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also release for Xbox One, and include Smart Delivery across Microsoft's two platforms (so you'll be able to play it on either current or next-gen for no extra cost). It'll also offer cross-save, handily.
We knew that Like a Dragon was bound for the west at some point, but it has to date been a PlayStation 4 exclusive in Japan. And while not mentioned today, it will of course launch in the west for PS4 as well.
Xbox has been late to the party with the Yakuza series - although this has changed recently with the launch of Yakuza 0 on the platform (and on Xbox Game Pass) earlier this year.
Speaking at Microsoft's big XO19 event in London last year, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said he had been working on improving the release of Japanese series such as Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and Yakuza on Xbox - something which is now bearing fruit.
