Assassin's Creed Unity - Imprisoned, Bellec, Rebirth, Sainte-Chapelle, Bastille
Our essential Assassin's Creed Unity walkthrough continues with a guide to busting your way out of the Bastille before tracking down Bellec.
You won't have an actual objective to get stuck into when starting this memory, but there are lots of objects in your cell for you to interact with. The mattress is the main one to get things moving forward, so go up to it and interact with it to start a new cut-scene.
Knock out the thief, then kill the gaurds
This section of the game teaches you the parry system - an essential trick to master for the whole game, and necessary for completing one of the Challenges in this section. Just follow the instructions you're given, and win the fight to move onto the next objective.
Your next job is to finish off the guards as they enter your cell. We recommend hiding up against the side-room wall, then attacking each one from the rear when the moment is right. Don't worry if you fluff the element of surprise, as they're both pretty easy to take down in a straight fight.
Escape the Bastille
Time to escape, but before you do so you'll have to protect Bellec. When he comes to the locked gate, do a 180 and kill the guards who are approaching. Use this opportunity to finish off both of your Challenges - finish three perfect parries and dodge two smoke bombs. If you don't care about Challenges, slash 'em up with your sword to finish the job even faster.
As soon as Bellec's opened the gate, you'll have to run towards the window. Sprint past the guards and make your way outside, then follow Bellec. After the parkour section, you'll come up against a pack of armed guards. Charge in, dodge away from their attacks, and kill them quickly with your blade - don't forget to make use of your new parry move.
When all of the enemies have been killed, start following Bellec again and just wait for a new cinematic section to begin.
Imprisoned Challenges
- Three perfect parries
- Two smoke bomb evasions
Once you've got control of Arno once more, start clambering up the Sainte-Chapelle wall and make your way inside. The moment you enter the building, turn all the way around and them climb the wall in front of you until you reach the balcony. You can move the story forward now by putting the medallion into the beam of light.
Investigate inside the Sainte-Chapelle
After the next cut-scene finishes you'll be given a new waypoint marker over on the opposite section of the room. Leap over there using the chandeliers, before using the rope to cross the room and reach the marker. As soon as you reach the waypoint, drop down through the hole.
Follow Bellec
When you have control of your character once more, you'll be given a new objective to track down Bellec. There are no ambushes to worry about during this section of the memory, so just keep going through the tunnels as the conversation plays out.
After another bit of cinematic you'll enter a dream state where you have to navigate an obstacle course. Leap across and then run over the floor - just be aware that it will crumble beneath your feet. The hardest part of this section is coming up next, and involves slipping along the slope and avoiding the fire.
Keep a very close eye on the instructions you're given about slowing down your progress here, and then carefully make your way towards the broken section of the floor that's just right of the ramp. As soon as you're done with this section you can be a little less cautious as you finish off the rest of the obstacle course.
The final part of this memory concludes with you standing in a massive crowd of people. Use your Eagle Vision ability here as you move along the path, so you can locate your target. You don't want to alert him, so we recommend sneaking through the crowd to the left, before sliding in for the kill. When he's dead, you'll automatically conclude this section of the game.
