Bastion
Bastion units were the front line of the omnic forces during the Omnic War against humans. They were feared and hated in equal measure - and so Bastion is in the game. But the Bastion we know awoke in the wilderness years after the wars had finished, and had gained some sentience, particularly in empathy towards nature. He's a big softy with a minigun. Honourable mentions to otakuap's Bastion sitting peacefully against a tree, and to bluerx's Bastion as Snoopy.

Mei
Mei is an Overwatch climatologist who froze herself in cryostasis when things went belly-up at the Watchpoint: Antarctica outpost. Years later she awoke to a very different world. Fitting that she's placed next to Bastion because she's bloody annoying to play against too - and therefore very fun to play as, too. She's not drawn sensibly very often, and people tend to greatly exaggerate - and make a big deal out of - her weight, which is a shame. Honourable mentions to Curry23's colourful Mei the explorer, Claparo-Sans' commissioned Mei, and mayaflare's in-action Mei.

Junkrat
Jamison Fawkes, a twisted explosives nut with a surname to fit the bill. He's got overtones of Batman's Joker and is often depicted in similar ways. Honourable mentions to Stupiderist's childlike Junkrat, moni158's vibrantly colourful and stylised Junkrat, and Charlie-Bowater's commissioned Junkrat.

Roadhog
Mako Rutledge, the man turned marauder turned monster turned Junkrat's enforcer - and the two have been on a delightful worldwide crime spree ever since. Not as often drawn as the women of Overwatch so the pool of pictures to choose from isn't as deep, but the duo's friendship has captured the attention of some - particularly artist Calming Soul, who's done a whole series of sketches based upon it. Honourable mentions to Lanasy's apocalyptic Roadhog and The Chamba's commissioned Roadhog.

Torbjorn
Torbjorn, the Overwatch inventor, one of the old guard - and bane of all Overwatch console players worldwide. He's another hero not widely drawn by fans, although there is a Torbjorn issue of the Overwatch comic that somewhat makes up for it. Honourable mentions to Mike Azevedo's grimacing Torbjorn, Scebiqu's commissioned Torbjorn, and Jon Freeman's simple, flat coloured but expressive Torbjorn.

Zarya
Boy is there some interesting Zarya art. As a champion powerlifter she has muscle and bulk but most pictures slim her down or make her bulbous and muscular. Zarya is a strong character in so many ways. Honourable mentions to Signe Jeppesen's bold and bright and defined Zarya portrait, and to Flauschtraut's bulky Zarya flexing her guns for Tracer.

Soldier: 76
Jack Morrison, the former leader of Overwatch, the Captain America-like super soldier who's on a mission to expose the people who brought Overwatch down. He's featured in the Overwatch Hero animated short, and he's in the latest Overwatch comic. He was once presumed dead before going underground and taking on the alias Soldier: 76. There isn't a great deal of art out there for him. Honourable mentions to einlee's reflective, battle-wearied Soldier: 76, to Ghozai's bizarro Soldier: 76, and to xWaxWingx's surly Soldier: 76.

Lucio
Lucio, the DJ who broke into Symmetra's Vishkar Corporation headquarters and stole advanced equipment that he modified and used to lead a Brazilian uprising against them. Now he's a superstar DJ, like David Guetta. Puke. Lucio may be the key ingredient of many Overwatch teams but he isn't drawn much by fans. Underappreciated, perhaps?
