"People think it was because I was scared, or nervous," Martin Sahlin says. We're playing Unravel 2 together in a small room backstage at EA Play, just after his on-stage appearance to announce the game and its surprise release to the world. It's three years almost to the day since Sahlin made his E3 debut - when he introduced the original Unravel in a humble, grateful presentation which endeared himself and his creation to the world. It's an open-world zombie-apocalypse survival adventure with a hard-bitten rebel hero who has a code of honour and an upgradeable motorcycle. In the game, you scavenge and craft, shoot, drive and brawl, follow waypoints and get stuck on tree trunks. The rebel hero, who is called Deacon St John, growls things like, "I don't shoot women if I have a choice." The art strives for poetic decay but, for the most part, only musters a rural-trailer-park drabness. I played it four days ago and can't remember what Deacon looks like. The Last of Us it isn't, even though The Last of Us is clearly what it wants to be. And State of Decay. And Sons of Anarchy. And DayZ.

EA has released a brand-new Battlefield 5 teaser trailer ahead of the game's full reveal this Wednesday, May 23rd, and it appears to confirm previous rumours that DICE's latest would be WW2 bound.

After months of speculation and a few weeks of teases, EA has confirmed this year's Battlefield is set in World War 2, with DICE returning to the theatre of war in which the series was first born.

EA's video, posted on Wednesday to announce the upcoming World War 2-based Battlefield V, began with an unexpected disclaimer: 'No weapon, gear or vehicle manufacturer is affiliated with or has sponsored or endorsed this game.'

Update 3: A "special Pokémon" was briefly, verbally teased during the conference. We can confirm this is a "new Pokémon" that's coming to the Let's Go! games.

An additional, "core RPG" Pokémon game, entirely separate from the just-announced Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Eevee games, is also in development.
