Review | Planetside 2 Preview: The Classic Online Shooter Returns
A new spin on Auraxis.
The joy of the massively multiplayer sci-fi shooter Planetside was the war stories. In another life my name was Commander Batsphinx, and I fought for the New Conglomerate. Sometimes when I find myself drinking with old comrades we reminisce - telling tales of war that the younger generation don't seem to understand. The time we defended that vital bridge with hundreds of our brave boys against those bastard Vanu. The time we defended a fort when outnumbered by Reavers and won the day. That time we camped that spawn tube again and again and again.

Review | I Am Alive Review
The road much travelled.
OK, we get it. When the world ends, resources will be scarce, plants and animals will die out, human beings will eat each other and everyone will dress like a tramp. Years of popular fiction - games, novels and films - have rammed this home to such an extent that it blankets the world of pop culture like its own sort of nuclear winter. It's a shroud under which I Am Alive runs around doing interesting things for the five or six hours it takes to finish.

Calypso only grants monkey-paw wishes though, and the contestants' desires always backfire on them in strange and unpredictable ways.

Chancery.
100 Trials is a spinoff from the same developer's excellent 100 Rogues, but really it's best described as a mission pack. The original is a roguelike for iOS with a slim challenge mode, and it's the latter that 100 Trials expands into a gauntlet of bite-sized puzzles.
