    John from GA-Source has let me know about a new first-person shooter game in development by the Slovakian development studio, Cauldron (currently developing the strategy game Battle Isle 4), besides Battle Isle 4 they are also working on another first-person action title, entitled Chaser.     I noticed over at 3D Files that Dynamix have released a new patch for their extremely popular game, Starsiege: TRIBES, which is still being played by a large amount of people. This patch fixes a turret-related bug/cheat issue as well as fixes an issue with Raindance where the Diamond Sword team was unable to place deployable objects near their entrance.     John from GA-Strategy sends word regarding the upcoming Metal Fatigue online demo which will be released on March 3rd, according to Psygnosis' (Metal Fatigue publishers) and it will weigh in at 24 Mb. Metal Fatigue is an upcoming 3D Real-time strategy game from Zono Inc and Psygnosis', which looks very promising, but if you don't take my word for it then check out GA-Strategy's preview of the game.

    Paul Jaquays, id Software level designer updated his .plan file announcing that they have finally released the Q3Radiant (Quake III Level Editor) manual for the public, so now you ca learn how to create levels for id's latest master-piece, Quake III: Arena. It is one lenghty manual (163 formatted pages) and it's available in two distinct "flavors." One is an MSWord version and the other one is a somewhat "raw" HTML version converted directly from the Word document. Be sure to grab it and learn how to create those maps.

    The official announcement for "Homeworld : Cataclysm" (which was unveiled at the Milia 2000 exhibition in the south of France) just came through from Sierra. Being developed by Vancouver's Barking Dog Studios, Cataclysm will be apparently be a full stand-alone title rather than a mission pack for Relic's hit space strategy game.

    Seems like Gestalt missed this one yesterday (cut down on the Scotch you crazy Brit!), Valve Software released a little fix for the Half-Life 1.0.1.6 patch which was released yesterday, it's a fix for those of you who are running in software mode and are seeing the sky incorrectly in Badlands and Crossover.
