Review | Warriors Orochi
Not Orochi it's cracked up to be.
If you're one of those people who remain resolutely nonplussed by Koei's Warriors series you can move along now. There's nothing to see here. Warriors Orochi is unlikely to convert you to the joys of Byzantine genealogies, shoddy voice-acting and button-bashing-filled battlefields. If you're not one of those people, well, you'll probably be wondering where Orochi fits in to the series: what new nuances it brings and how they affect the finely honed balance between battlefield strategy and button-bashing combat that Koei has pioneered. Read on.

Midway revises Q3 earnings estimates
For Q3, Midway has revised its sales estimates downwards from USD 50 million to USD 39 million. It now estimates full year sales at USD 170 million, down from 225 million.
Moving the PS3 version of Stranglehold to late October, putting it in Q4, was also cited as a reason for the revision.
A few weeks ago, in an attempt to debunk a German website's UT3 countdown clock, Epic's Mark Rein said there was no guarantee that the game would make its November launch date. "All we've said is that we're hoping for a November release, but as you know we value getting it right over getting it right now, so there's no guarantee of that," he wrote in a statement.
While addressing the issue, he indicated that the PS3 version would be released before the Xbox 360 version, but did not commit to a specific release date. -

Review | Eternal Sonata
Hitting the right notes.
Videogames have always been a rich vein for ardent fans of the surreal. From the overtly psychedelic efforts of Jeff Minter's Tempest or Tetsuya Mizuguchi's Rez, through to the curiously domestic unreality of Keita Takahashi's Katamari Damacy, games provide some of the most unusual brain-fodder of any modern medium.

Review | GrimGrimoire
Grim and bare it.
The sad fact of the matter is that there will have been many hundreds of Eurogamer readers who chose to bypass this review for no graver reason than its quirky name and art style.
