GamePlay had posted the demos from the Razer-CPL event's official UK qualifier yesterday, but they were all just dumped into an ftp directory with no real idea of which was which. Now somebody with time to spare over at Barrysworld has sifted through them and posted an index of the demos here. They're still not quite sure which matches all of Billox's demos are from, but that should be added later...

I noticed over at CGO that Westwood Studios' anticipated Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun expansion pack, Firestorm has gone gold and is set to hit shelves in North America March 9th. This expansion pack will feature 18 new single-player maps, 15 new multiplayer maps, new options for the Battle Map creator and a bunch of new units.

A patch has been released for the Soldier of Fortune demo. Weighing in at just 1Mb, the patch fixes the random crashes some people have suffered from as well as a number of minor bugs, improves the spectator mode in multiplayer, and adds A3D 3.0 support for all you audio freaks. According to an interesting news blurb over at GA-RPG, Logic Factory's upcoming action role-playing adventure game, Seeker, has been delayed until Q3 2000. The game was originally scheduled for a Q1 2000 release, but the developers have hit some minor delays, the game is scheduled to release in the Fall now. Read more in the news blurb over at GA-RPG.

The finals of the Razer CPL qualifier being run all day today at The Playing Fields in London have just finished. [UNR]Blokey defeats [UNR]Luke 18-7. Congratulations to [UNR]Blokey who will be flown to the RazerCPL $100,000 tournament in Dallas, Texas with £1,000 spending money. [UNR]Luke will take home £250 for being second place, with [EED]Billox the recipient of £125 and third place.

The losers' bracket finals have just finished with [UNR]Luke defeating Quakeadelica champ [EED]Billox 9-4. The finals will be played between [UNR]Blokey, so far undefeated in each round, and [UNR]Luke. This means that our three favourites, all members of the UK Quake 2 team, will be placed in the top three positions. Expect the final result as soon as we get it.
