PC Rage AMD drivers released
Should improve performance.
Drivers that should improve the performance of the PC version of first-person shooter Rage have been released.
The AMD Catalyst Rage Performance Driver is available to download now.
It features:
- Significant performance gains for single GPU configurations.
- Compatible with AMD Radeon 6000 and AMD Radeon 5000 series of graphics products.
- Includes the latest OpenGL driver component for Rage performance optimisations.
"If you have an AMD/ATI graphics card, the new Rage Catalyst drivers are out!" reads a Tweet from the official Rage game Twitter page. "BE SURE to grab them immediately."
While Rage isn't out in the UK until Friday, US gamers have been playing it since Tuesday.
Some PC gamers have complained that their version of the game performs poorly, with shoddy textures and crashing.
Bethesda marketing and PR boss Pete Hines suggested on Twitter that there may be a conflict between the game and drivers used for the Battlefield 3 beta.
"If you are crashing to desktop right away w/ ATI card you are using the BF3 preview drivers," he said. "CTD is 100% with those drivers. Need to update."
