Sierra sent word that Impressions Games are working on an expansion pack called "Cleopatra" for their ancient Egyptian city building sim, Pharaoh. As well as the full expansion pack, which is due in June, they will also release a "Pharaoh Enchancement Pack" which will be available to download for free and will include the latest patch, 20 new missions, and a scenario editor.

Our friends at System Logic have launched the successor to their old "Price Watch" feature. The new system finds you the lowest prices on the net for computer hardware and software, and can be searched or browsed through to find whatever you're looking for. Unfortunately for us Europeans, the price watch system only covers American internet retailers.

Microsoft's GameStock 2000 is underway, with several new games (including some previously unannounced titles) being shown off. The folks at Challenge.AU sent us word that the biggest LAN in Australia yet, the Razer Big Day In, will be taking place this weekend. UbiSoft just sent word that they will be publishing "In Cold Blood", the latest game from British developer Revolution, of "Broken Sword" fame. The game is due in September, and puts you in the boots of a British secret service agent called John Cord.

John from GA-Source informed me that Eidos Interactive have confirmed that they are currently developing a sequel to their third-person action adventure "Soul Reaver", tentively entitled Soul Reaver 2. This upcoming sequel will once again be developed by Crystal Dynamics and the game is slated for a Christmas 2000 release (although a 2001 release is a possibility). Brian Reynolds, the real brains behind classic turn-based strategy games such as Civilization 2, has resurfaced after his recent departure from long-time partner Sid Meier's company, Firaxis. His new company is called Big Huge Games, includes a few other former Firaxis employees, and will be making a real time strategy game.
