Super Mario Odyssey Purple Leaf locations - how to find Purple Leaves

  • Kingdom: Lost Kingdom
  • Total Coins: 50

Here in the Lost Kingdom, a large majority of the 50 Regional Coins in this area are divided across lots of high platforms and over those deadly purple gloop swamps. As always, to make your life a whole lot easier from the start, turn around as soon as your start as the Odyssey and use the Binoculars to pick out key coin locations in the gameworld ahead of you. From this position you can make out plenty of locations to plunder.

The coins in this kingdom are shaped like leaves. You'll find your first three coins on a platform to the left of where you start, next to a yellow keyhole. If you want to get back up to where you were, use the tree trunk to flip up onto the ledge. Just before the first bridge (just past the Odyssey), climb the tree to your left, flip onto the leaf and collect the two coins waiting for you at the edge.

At the Swamp Hill checkpoint, possess one of the Tropical Wigglers on this raised platform and use their stretch ability to reach over and grab the four coins floating above the purople gloop. Don't worry, you won't fall in as long as you keep holding 'Y' and direct its head back onto safe ground.

On the Swamp Hill platform, look to the right of the checkpoint and climb the tree. At the top you'll find two extra coins to add to your purse. On this same platform, head around the back of the gloop swamp, stretch over the gap then stretch over to collect the three Regional Coins over the gap directly in front of you.

Two well hidden Regional Coins can be found just below where you collected the previous few. Look down and you'll see a small ledge sticking out the side of the platform. As Mario, you should just be able to reach it and collect the two coins waiting for you.

By this platform, you'll see a couple of revolving propeller pillars. Jump or stretch onto the nearest one and you'll see two coins floating above. These coins do not follow the revolutions of the pillar, so make sure you grab them before the spoke you're on moves past them. Or just stretch from the middle to make life easier!

There's even some placed below below the propeller pillars. Jump past the first Tropical Wiggler, look to your left and you'll find two coins hiding on a stump next to some gold rings.

Across to the platform with the exploding bugs, use one of the bugs to destroy the blocks, then collect two more coins hiding on a ledge just below the cliff edge corner. Ascend to the Rocky Mountain Summit checkpoint, throw your cap at the Glydon and walk over to the left hand side of the Crazy Cap store. You'll see four Regional Coins in the distance, above the area with the Moon Shards. Glide down using 'B' and land to collect these devilishly difficult collectibles.
